Today, the vertical signage for Stage 15 of the Third Week was completed.
As always, the reliable and precise outdoor team, experts in positioning the CNP trail signs, is made up of a variable number of operators from the Protected Areas crossed by the Trail, assisted by the irreplaceable National Civil Service Volunteers who commit themselves for a whole year within the Regional Parks.
At the same time, in the penultimate stage of the first week, the witnesses of “A Summer on the Trail: Rome – Pescasseroli,” Sara and Claudia, reached Subiaco after leaving the Mentorella Sanctuary, dear to Pope John Paul II, on the eastern slope of Monte Guadagnolo this morning.
Tomorrow they will leave quite early to tackle the biggest climb they have encountered so far, and because they will have to reach Jenne, after crossing the Livata mountain basin, leaving the Cammino Naturale dei Parchi (Natural Path of the Parks) and continuing on La Via dei Lupi (The Way of the Wolves).
The curious thing is that they will cover two sixth stages for both treks!
And tomorrow they will also be enchanted by the first extensive beech forests of the Simbruini Mountains and the Apennines.
