The small town of Marcetelli, an ancient center in a strategic position, almost at a precipice on a rocky spur called the Ravi, dominates from its elevated and almost inaccessible position the enchanting Valle del Salto.
Going down the steep cobbled streets of the old town, you can breathe a timeless air, there are houses of living stone perched, with winding streets and narrow, around the central square and the parish church of San Venanzio and San Martino, a beautiful fountain octagonal and the Palazzo dei Barberini.
The town of Marcetelli keeps alive the tradition of producing vats and barrels made of chestnut wood, thanks to the presence of master coopers.
