We are proceeding briskly.
We, the staff of the Protected Areas, together with the volunteers of the National Civil Service, with great collective motivation and desire to continue placing the trail markers at a steady pace, have almost completed the positioning of the CAI-style vertical signage for the 13th stage, Marcetelli – Pescorocchiano.
We are in the heart of the province of Rieti, on the left side of the Cicolano Valley, and we are entering the innermost valleys and ridges of the Central Apennines. As we work, we have a spectacular view of the peaks of Velino, Montagne della Duchessa, and Nuria. We often exceed 2000 meters in altitude, and by a lot!
We are very close to completing the first two weeks of the entire CNP.
